Ten reasons we know we're settling in to our new, temporary home:
1. We bought a case of wine
2. Kate reorganized the kitchen in our apartment (as well as a few other rooms, but who's counting)
3. Our duffels and roller bags are empty
4. All our clothes are hanging in closets or put away in drawers
5. We went to the grocery store and bought more than two days worth of food
6. We stored away our travel toiletry case
7. We went to the gym today, just 2 1/2 blocks away at the Southbank Institute of Technology (inexpensive, too!)
8. We ate at the Punjabi restaurant around the corner (excellent), noticed all the take-away orders, and started planning for ours
9. We bought tickets for two theater events, one a performance of modern Aboriginal dance, the other a festival of Australian short films
and the 10th reason we know we're settling in ...
we bought a bottle of vodka.
